Typhoon Yagi Strikes Southeast Asia

Destruction in the Philippines 

At least 20 people were dead on the Philippines blow of Typhoon Yagi. The storm brought widespread flooding and landslides that added to the destruction, wrecking infrastructure while sweeping away private homes and cities alike. 

Impact on China

Yagi has since moved on and hit China, killing four people and causing about $100 million in damages. High winds and inflowing rain caused large-scale damage in these areas.

Catastrophe in Vietnam

Typhoon Yagi causes huge loss to Vietnam All that the storm did was rain and flowing winds, mainly in north areas where there is flooding. One overloaded bus got carried away by flash flood with twenty passengers inside while the Red River valley suffered a serious decline. The infrastructure, including the main roads and bridges were badly affected.

Ongoing rescue efforts 

The search for the missing has begun, and disaster response operations are in place. That figure, though, is rising as more information emerges. Officials warned people to be on alert for further heavy rain and the possibility of flash floods in places, as well as landslides.
